How An Emergency Eyewash & Shower Station Service Works

Tamper evident tag is applied, a functional check is performed, and inspection tag is signed.

Our industry-exclusive methods and equipment, combined with the knowledge and expertise of our dedicated service professionals, ensures that your station is properly cleaned and serviced.
- Clear communication before and after each service
- Scan of each station for an electronic service record
- Service inspection is performed – routine or annual inspection
- Cintas professional dates the service tag to verify service
- Any station that does not pass the service inspection is noted on inspection summary

THE SAFETY DIRECTOR® EYEWASH STATION
Take the worry and hassle out of your eyewash program with service from Cintas.
Primary Eyewash Stations Must:
- Activate in one second or less
- Flush both eyes simultaneously
- Be hands-free and offer valves with constant flow
- Have a flush rate of 0.4 gallons per minute
- Flush for 15 minutes
- Be located within 10 seconds of hazard
- Be located within a clear path
- Include a highly visible sign identifying the station
When Safety Data Sheets (SDS) indicate the need for emergency eyewash, a primary station is required. Reference Section 4 of any chemicals SDS to determine if you need an eyewash station.
